Taking the boss out
orlando.metromix.com

Uh oh! You just went and said "Want to get a drink?" to your boss. Now it's dawned on you that your regular smoky holes and techno-beat caverns are all that you know around town, and you need a good, non-threatening place to take your boss, and stat.

Finnhenry's Pub - 39 North Orange Avenue - Orlando (Downtown Orlando)

Tip #2: Smoking is (generally) a no-no. Some of the coolest bars can be set off limits by allowing smoking, but Finnhenry's is probably safe anyway. Their huge open space and monster smoke eaters make it a very breathable place to be, and their chic-urban atmosphere, sweet downtown location, and cozy seating make for an easy place to talk shop while drinking great beers and excellently mixed drinks for prices that are pretty good for downtown.

*Best old bar that's actually new: Hands down, Finnhenry's. Owner Caitlin Van Voorhis deserves some sort of award for giving downtown Orlando a bar that looks like the city has some history to it. Seriously, if a stranger walked into the bar at 39 N. Orange Ave. and was told the bar had been there since the early '20s, he'd believe it. The tile flooring, exposed windows and iron beams fool even me into believing Finnhenry's has been in downtown forever. We all know just last year it was Room 3 Nine; although that bar is missed by some, this replacement is a welcome downtown addition.
